Bound By Divinity
A myriad verse upon love there be
And this is one in an endeavor
To be written more
And forever free
For in intimate moments
My mind wonders to compare
Those things which are
Like myself without you, unsure
That I might not be
Then, I hold you near
And imagine
If, a flower could
A bee without
Or a seashore would
Devoid of gull
Or crashing waves about
A dawn in mourning
When clouds of grayer loom
Deprived of sun
Or even cityscapes
Upon the night
Deep within the blackouts
In hinder sight, of absent moons
What if rainbows
In transparency
Where disappearing
Becoming sights unseen
And waterfalls falling
Plunging into silence
If thunder claimed its independence
Setting the lightening alone and free
Upon a realization
I’m captured
In a tangle of overwhelming
Tendencies
When your warmth
And beating heart
Back to you
In love, they seize upon me
A peace
A knowing
For this life at least
You and I will be
As one
Within our sacred oath
Of man and wife
Held together
More and more each day
By divinity
