Brake Me Down

Like....the new dawn is braking as I rise incomplete,
Unfinished, unanswered, two odd socks on my feet,
Like....The sun rays seep through the cracks in the blind,
And lighten my face, deepen the gaps inside....now 500 miles wide,...

..Where you need to walk to to reach me,
Find me broken in two,
But to where I would run in a day just to be next to you..
With no need to speak,
but inside feeling complete,

how many times can I possibly tell you that you are my all...
every kind of wonderful that man should recall,
every knid of particle in sunshine that lights up the grey city street,
and fills an empty room with life like you make me complete,

but as I rise without you,
your rays somewhere else beyond my reach,
I struggle to smile or notice the two odd socks on my feet,
And as each incomplete dawn awakes me,
The gaps widen some more,
So many miles apart that no man will ever go.

You brake me down..
By not being here but not letting me go..
By stealing my sunshine so I can't possibly grow,
So stealing my mornings so I feel I've no new day,
Just walking through life incomplete since you went away,

You still hold onto me because I'm something to loose,
But with you holding on I've only one direction to move,

Instead you should let go..
..and stand by my side,
Wake with me in the morning..
..and complete me inside.
