Burning Sage
Burning Sage
I’m burning sage in our domain
to disinfect a lost refrain
a love that faltered in our past
a love I thought would alway last
my prideful mien to conquer thee
My lustful ways were not to be
for pride will go before the fall
reflecting I will wear a shawl
to comfort me as was your love
the burning essence will prevail
I praise you as the God above
a love of peace, a mourning dove
