By Hope I Live
Whenever darkness & dusty cloud engulfed,
I moved, not knowing where to step though.
Joints often failed to hold my fresh,
But I shivered to my feet.
Hope accompanied in silent moments,
When peace found no space.
Moments when quit felt to brought comfort.
Rather along the way I staggered, still hoping.
Sorrows found shelter then,
Yet I smiled, though couldn’t felt its sweetness.
‘Hearts of men shed no a tear,’
Hope breathed in my inner ear.
When at the edges of my strength, it whispered,
That the darkness was about to fade,
Morning star was about to appear.
And the eye of heaven nigh to shine
Courage alone couldn’t escort,
In those channels, that many failed to return
Neither strength nor effort,
But with hope still I live though in burn.
