Casting My Cares - 1
You see the ugly scars
I see the beauty inside
You see the struggles and worries
I see the strength that makes it worth it
You see the pain and sorrow
I see second chances in the morning
Listen… to the touch of a pen
Who understands your need
To give back a piece of you
A part of your heart and soul
A chunk of your hope and faith
A sample of mercy and grace
Portions of your spirit’s praise
Inspiration sings praises into
The kindness of a psalm
Portraying the evidence
Of hope that lingers on and on
Lifting up the dismal heart
With light, laughter and love
Whispered in the prayers
Of one who breathes in
The music of a sincere belief
If I were a star…
I’d look down to those soft wishes
Made on my twinkling shimmer
Enlightening the heart with a quiver
Of intimate hues that shadow the sparkle
With halos of pure, untainted love
You are the kindness beneath my concern
The victory that comes when I have won
The inspiration that brings my vision to life
The consideration that brightens even sunlight
Stanzas taken from my poems:
Real Beauty
God's Kiss
Whispers of Grace
If I Were A Star
What You Are
