Childhood Memories
Perusing old photos of friends;
refreshes childhood memories.
And their silly smiles take me back
to a great summer had by all.
A searing sun tanned our skin bronze;
while we chased tadpoles in the creek.
We searched for lost pirate treasure;
pledging to be friends forever.
Trust forged the links of our friendship,
flipping frowns into happy smiles.
Each face has a place in my heart;
where it enjoys eternal youth.
Time played tunes that'll never repeat;
while we danced to its unique beat.
And our innocence was complete,
enjoying life and having fun.
