Citius Venire
How fragile, this life.
Every second that passes by,
I soar closer to the sky.
I know not my place, or why,
still I need her by my side.
For if the stars could speak,
I’d climb higher to the peaks.
I’d go to hear them sing,
the song of her and me.
As no matter what is certain,
or how much right now I’m hurting,
there beyond the curtains,
our love is written long.
What it is and was before,
still shakes me to my core.
Though I am her, never more,
one so lost and torn.
I know her smile within.
I know I’m made to sin,
but my chest is so, so thin
and the sun seems burns way too near.
Now read these lines my dear,
I know them, all your fears.
The hurt and pain you feel,
seem way too big and real.
But be brave just one more time,
for each day is precious lines
burning all so fast and I’m,
asking God for one more life.
For I’d trade my name and lonely mind,
to hold you, in my eyes all my nights,
for we both too tall with too much pride
and both now wasting time.
Yes, eternity, can’t begin to satisfy,
the yearning for your precious smile.
If I lived with you one hundred lives,
I’d beg each God, for one more fight.
