Love Poem: Colors of Love

Colors of Love

The colors of love,
Are the gardens of Spring,
And the flowers that grow,
Are a beautiful thing.

But the sundering sky,
Of a storm passing by,
Is a thundering crash,
To the wandering eye.

For the colors you love,
On the wings of a dove,
Are the greys of your days,
In the billows above.

And the covers you sack,
By the lovers you lack,
Are the edge of a ledge,
That is calling you back.

For the blue in your heart,
Is more true in your mind,
And the roses you pick,
Are the petals you find.

So you ride in the pride,
Of a lion inside,
That is gentle and true,
To the lamb by his side.

For the colors that last,
By the candor they bring,
Are the glory of love,
And the birth of our Spring.

So we savor the sun,
For the pure light above,
And the flavor of life,
In the colors of love.
