Love Poem: Composer

Composer

Shall I compose for you a warm summer’s night? One filled with crickets and night birds softly calling. Of shimmering Alder leaves in the pale moonlight as night owls glide silently upon wings stalling while twinkling stars shine so very bright. Shall I compose for you a cool autumn’s day walking through fields of pumpkin and barley. Caressing each other’s hands in that special way while tossing sticks for our retriever, “Marley”. We stop to talk at the swing by the beautiful bay. Shall I compose for you a cold first winter’s snow? Stepping outside and exhaling that steamy breath. As flakes fall and land gathering to and fro the snowmen dance, then a slow melting death. The warming sun renders a grin from the willow. Shall I compose for you a sweet spring kiss? Hearing the songbirds sing in the greening trees and sprouts raise their blooms, and we reminisce of that lovely feel of a springtime breeze. I'll compose for you a life that goes on just like this.
