Curse of the Gods
The storm has passed and the calm, cool winds are at a steady breeze.
The clouds have cleared and my mind has been set at ease.
The fissures have been covered and fortified,
No longer does the foundation sway at a high gust.
A heart that was once ridden with disease, mortified,
Has undergone a transformation so robust.
To experience a happiness concealed since the dawn of man.
Hidden from the eyes of men for their own safety,
For Heaven would not feel so sweet then.
As mere mortals would finally hold the key to destiny,
The sisters of fate would no longer have any say,
And hope would finally rule at the end of the day.
This happiness lost in the anals of time, hidden for centuries,
I found in your eyes the day you set me free,
And nursed my morbid heart to a speedy recovery.
The curse of the gods broke on the day that I met you,
Where our legend began and the sun finally broke through
