Daisy Chain
She loves me; she loves me not, she loves me?
Daisy petals fall softly to the shore
from its golden heart; one by one, I tore
to land, silent, foretelling washed to sea.
Discarded, as was the delicate chain
fashioned with innocence of virgin love.
A worthless offering you disposed of;
then laughed while staring at my tears of pain.
