Dear Depressed
I feel the agony of your anguish,
The pulsing pain that now persists
I hear distant calls of your distress
And hear tell your tears of torment
Hold my hand and hear
The words I write
Modest but meaningful
Practical, not trite
Wake up! Wake up!
He shoved you out and slammed the door
Played you as a pastime
You lost, get off the floor
Broken?
Bruised and banished
It was deceit not love
And now he’s vanished
Remodeling?
Not his house, his life
Get the message?
Not his sister, but his wife
Depressed?
You listened to the lies
Forget the flashy fool
Time now for good-byes
Morning Sickness?
Advise to see a doctor
Could be something more
It might be two not one
You need to float ashore
Restore!
Rise like spring from winter
Fresh seeds will sow your way
You are someone special
Remind yourself each day
