Dear Mr Sandman
Why do you no longer make your nightly visits?
Dear Mr. Sandman,
Do you no longer care,
That our children are falling asleep on couches,
Instead of in their beds,
And parents go to bed wearing frowns instead of smiles.
Can we not go back to the way we were?
When we awoke with remnants of your visit in each eye,
Eager for the day to come.
Have you not enough sand to go around,
Or are you sad,
That bedtime stories are now seldom heard,
Children no longer say their prayers before bed,
With few, rating a goodnight kiss on the head.
Dear Mr. Sandman,
What can we do to hasten your return?
