Death Holds No Fear
Death Holds no Fear
By Rick Rucker
You are my reward,
For doing nothing untoward,
Death holds no Fear,
You’ve shown me Heaven, My Dear,
When I’m in your arms,
I’m under the spell of your Charms,
You make all Time stand still,
Your Love is stronger than any pill,
It’s not Death that I fear,
But, rather, that you won’t always be near,
Were you to leave,
I would, forever, grieve,
Now, that would be Hell,
A Fate too awful to tell.
‘Fore You told me You love me, I dared not hope it was true,
Now, I can’t imagine going on, without You,
Each night, before sleep clouds my brain,
My feeling of separation from you, I can’t restrain,
A few hours of rest,
Before you do your best,
To bring an end to my pain,
By calling me again.
I feel like an addict, it’s true,
But my drug of choice is You!
My Love for you is pure,
Death will be the only cure,
Even that I’ll abide,
I’ll see You again, on the Other Side!
Death holds no fear,
You’ve shown me Heaven right here!
