I saw those eyes of his from afar,
I assumed how they are when near.
In them i saw sadness, maybe pain,
Longing for that very one person.
Maybe afraid she'll soon be gone,
Maybe afraid he'll again be alone.
So he refuses to be comforted,
He refuses any soothing hand.
You are left with nothing to do,
Cause you don't know if she loves you too.
You're confused even though you have her,
Cause you ain't sure if she will stay forever.
So you try hard to calm your heart,
Preparing for what may come next.
But remember life always goes on,
Whether you're with her or on your on.
