Drifted

DRIFTED

Handsome embroidered with biceps every woman's heart would melt and fonder
A gentleman to every woman's needs
For him it was her
His love had come along

Her subtle colour ever so attractive and lovable
Her mind was at work
A brew so vicious that the pot would tilt and put the fire off

Not in a million would he imagine it
Was that colour for love or a chameleon on defense?
To him love was obvious

An echo of their love was in every situation at every rendezvous

Defined at a world fair
And it sprung well in spring in a sweet affair

His eyes were fixated at this butterfly, his heart's only delight

Not with her, hesitation had started creeping in to every meet of their fun
Since when did her heart not leap at his call of meet?

Appalled at what was before him and in his world of peace
This was totally foreign to him
 She went flat and cold
She couldn't even accept his hold

He was patient she was persistent
She deliberately made herself unlikeable
She seemed happy not to be reachable

His world is shutting the door on him
With no shred of remorse
To this deep wound he has to nurse
The butterfly has flown
And now he is alone...
