End of All
bolts of dark electric blue,
sent mountains melting
out of view
dissolving down like soft ice cream
to overflow, in my sad dream
the vast lands and the dying seas,
the majesty of ancient trees
all the people, places, things
now drowning, save the
ones with wings
as the stars
all went out, one by one
finally ending,
with the sun
those who could not love, in life
scuttled for that, which'd brought them strife
while those who could,
were still held close,
by those who would
and so,
as darkness
finally fell,
love was all we'd kept
to tell
the ones who'd wept
for what we'd shared
our world; if only all,
had cared
