End of the World
End of the World
This isn’t the end of the world;
I’ve been through this before.
All hope is not quite lost;
I have no ideal what is in store.
Although it’s badly bent;
My spirit is not broken.
From promises not kept;
And words left unspoken.
A heart left in shambles;
And hope is fading fast.
You would think I would have learned;
That love just doesn’t last.
If I simply am not good enough;
Just the way I am.
Then this isn’t the end of the world;
But I can see it from where I stand.
