Enough
Isn’t it enough that her eyes are golden,
that her lips are so rare
and has silky milkweed hair,
that all these things are true?
Isn’t it enough that her face glows,
moonbeams on my cosmic sea,
binary system destiny,
that gravity works two ways?
Isn’t it enough that her voice fits nicely
with the sound of my name,
that her smile is unashamed
and I am still inspired?
Isn’t it enough we share the same stars,
alike in spirit and needs,
infinite time in between
but not enough time on Earth?
Isn’t it enough that she has envious hips,
that her presence reflects me
as surely as her heart rejects me,
isn’t it enough that she’s gone?
