Evan
I want to be good he said, I want to be the best..
So I told him to keep playing, and that endurance is the test.
So he played and played until his fingers would bleed..
Every day, every night he just wanted to succeed.
He played from the heart and it didn't take long..
Before he knew it, he was playing his favourite song.
In a very short time he joined a band..
It took all his courage of his nerves to withstand.
So proud of him to call him my son..
Not one to shy away, not one to turn and run.
Any challenge to face he gives his best..
Always remembering that endurance test.
He's grown into a wonderful young man..
With gorgeous Kayla they walk hand in hand.
They compliment each other in a unique way..
I'm sure she'll be my daughter in-law one day.
Evan I hope you realise how special you are..
I've enjoyed the journey of your life so far.
You've protected me in hard times and I'm proud to be your Mum..
I just wanted you to know how much I love you son!
