Farewell
Forever I vowed to love no one else but you
Angel, please know that my love is true
Rare is the love that lasts this long
Everlasting feeling that is so strong
Woman, I know you will never be mine
Even if I wait for all eternity, you still won't cross the line
Lady, although I am still very much under your spell
Last night I realized that it’s time for me to bid you farewell
Sometimes even though the feelings are strong we have to learn to let go and accept that
it’s not and was never meant to be. That no matter how much we want something, we should
still
learn to admit defeat when it is already staring us in the face. This poem aspires to convince
a soul to let go, accept what is, and to stop living in a world of dreams.
