First Date
FIRST DATE
I chose my boy -friend just perfect,
Not outspoken, slight introvert,
Yet quite expert to steal my heart.
In each step he would hesitate.
On usual interaction,
slowly developed attraction.
He forwarded one mild request
‘Can you see me alone? He told.
Looking sober but smart and bold.
On quiet stream strand we both met.
His deep dense glance to bathe my face,
on book of love to write preface.
My tangling passion made me wait
for first syllable to listen,
whelming my desire to glisten.
At eve Sun was about to set
scattering scarlet rays on sky.
My fairy wings were keen to fly.
He spoke nothing, remained silent.
With skipped heart beats I had to stand
He came close, held my shivered hand.
Then? Haply Heaven stepped down next.
He kissed me deeply, I was thrilled.
That very moment love was sealed.
That was my first love: My first date
Wonder of love to spin in whirlpool.
Life bloomed beautiful, cheerful.
I chose my boy-friend, just perfect.
In each step he would hesitate.
He forwarded one mild request.
On quiet stream strand we both met.
My tangling passion made me wait.
At eve, Sun was about to set.
He spoke nothing remained silent.
Then? Haply Heaven stepped down next.
That was my first love: My first date.
