Forever
A silk gown long and white
The veil covered her face
Heeled shoes of pearls and lace
Hands gripped the flowers tight
She’d falter not this night
She walked with poise and grace
A black suit stained with tears
Her fingers through his hair
She touched his skin with care
Was approached by her peers
Confirming her worst fears
Her heart could feel him there
In death as was in life
They were husband and wife
