Fragment
Like a sliver of hope, love entered my life
to be crushed by events no one could control.
Just a small fragment remained, hope lives anew,
what will realisation bring to balm my soul.
A sprinkling of tenderness wrapped up in desire
of love that I know is buried so deep.
The wanting to be loved to light the fire,
longing to feel your arms when I sleep.
I cry out in anguish as I sleep in my bed
can feel the passion within, needing love.
To feel you finding the release, to rest my head,
Two into one sounds like heaven above.
Will that fragment grow, watered by the juices of desire
your mouth saying words to inflame the spark.
Soft hands touching, lighting the fire,
smoke mustn't hide this fragment of a new love.
