Frozen Tears
A girl of sixteen, I heard her giggle and laugh
Even when the times were unsure and tough.
Laughter of youth sprouting from her heart
Made her face glow, a piece of charming art.
Wafting in the air the sound of music I heard
I knew it’s love singing in her heart like a bird.
In its soft rhythm her sparkling eyes danced
In the shadow of eyelids the tears of joy flashed.
Love is a strange thing, it often grows light wing
And flies away, the deserted heart stops to sing.
Her tender smile melted, silent tears began to flow
The sound of silence I would hear, I didn't know.
To freeze the tear stream in sixteen year old sad eye
Scrape it off, and fill joy in her life again, I would try.
