Love Poem: Garden of the King

Garden of the King

Herein among the furrowed rows
sun ripened cucumbers and leek
twine the grape upon their stakes
tender shoots of produce grow replete

Where honeysuckle alongside jasmine
with tendrils climb the rocken wall
rainbow pigments a mosaic
like earthen shades within the fall

Fair beauty ministers the grounds
drifts perfume of plumaria and rose
wafts lavendar with scents of cardemom
with limestone pathways for barefoot toes

Here garlands do adorn the gates
though there be no need for walls
with granite stairs her entries are
alabaster benches for setting calls

Marble waterfalls and fountains
grace the garden of all delight
where jasper pillars support the arches
and fires light a collonade at night

Here the courtyard is cultivated
to entertain the compnay of Kings
but its fillagree of crowning beauty
is what the humble gardener brings

So like that blooming garden
your fragile grace has captured me
so captivated and entranced
my heart be taken to slavery

Now the gentle breezes coast
there is shelter from all storm
where pools reflect a light so clear
to birth a personality new born

To turn its soil with planted seeds
care to tend upon the fertile crop
whose cornucopia in depth does please
and treasured views will never stop

One Archetech this courtyard built
next to the castle temple grand
spans the torrent river valley
where the trees of life do stand

This is the garden of Gods healing
here the taught do love its sight
where tender hearts can bloom and grow
nothing dangerous here to fight

Lay hold upon the real life
for far better things for you are planned
but only Jesus can lead you through
the final weeding of his land
