Giggling Girl
Son:
Mother, up in town
I met a giggling girl in gorgeous gown
Who shines in her hue of brown
‘Oh giggling girl’, I said, ‘will you be my own?
North and south, I have flown
And together we shall tour up and down.’
Much fine words I have blown
Much fair speeches I have thrown
And much nice stuffs to her I’ve shown
But she didn’t bulge or drown.
Mother:
Not too much to sit in frown
To make you bend in burdens down
Be still and studious on your own
A wife in time will come for you to crown
A queen to be in glistering gown
