Haikus Anyone
Haiku’s Anyone?
Written: by Tom Wright

Before your return
We seldom used cameras
We merely owned them
Before your return
Our patio, a table
Under a shade tree
Before your return
I didn’t have a close friend
That I could care for
Before your return
Never celebrated things
You brought with you change
Before your return
We had cash for whatever
Just had no desire
Before your return
We didn’t have a reason
To enjoy these things
As we admired you
You were our inspiration
Can thanks be enough?
In your quiet way
You have without knowing it
Done us ample good
We are so thankful
That you are more than a friend
And we do love you
