Haunted By a Long Lost Love
Haunted by a Long Lost Love
The world before me is a venomous vampire
As your venom seeps thru my window sill
Nestled by nocturnal night breathing dragons fire
Cuddled by the corner of my room a slaving still
For I am haunted by a long lost love
My prayers are lost as they drift on high
For they escape below and so above
As I watch the gilded leaves of autumn sigh
On a passing cloud there floats a dream
Where your ghost will end its phantom fright
But for now, I let loose a silent scream
Echoes of love, silhouettes in moonlight
My heart sings a broken saddened song
For I sit in solitude beside the towering trees
Waiting for someone else to come along
Caressed by the soft song of a summers breeze.
