He Broke Down Yesterday
He broke down yesterday and so did I
His fears were evident, his wounds were open
And there was nothing more beautiful
Than a man with his scars
Fighting his way to survive amidst the forces
That want nothing but to break him down
He broke down yesterday and so did I
His love was one thing he did not want to let go
For she was his, and his heart was hers
There wasn't life in those eyes but yet somehow
She was his solace
His joy, his freedom, his comfort and maybe even his sanity.
He broke down yesterday and so did I
For he cried his heart out in the quiet of his room
There was noone there to judge him or his tears
He cried in anger, he cried in pain
He cried for all those living this misery inhumane.
But once he stopped, there was nothing stronger than him, because once he broke down, he built himself again.
He changed as a person in everyone's eye
He broke down yesterday and so did I.
