He Died For My Sins
For HE DIED FOR MY SINS and rose from the grave,
His compassion and resilience, Him being brave.
Forgiving my transgressions and bestowing love,
and ascending above like a white turtle dove-
Bringing me amazing grace and my life He did save.
His redemption in me is all I’ve ever dreamed of.
He means everything in the world to my heart,
my mother taught me truth right from the start.
For there is no other that saves me as much as He-
through His strength and faith in me I am now free.
I pray that my heart shall never fall so torn apart…
that I would ever want to erase the Lord from me.
So as this Easter approaches may I remember the ways
that the Lord released me from the pains of my days.
May I encompass His righteousness in all that I do,
and I beg of you to remember, He loves you too.
May I still read the Good Book, as His love I shall praise-
and always spread the word of His passion for us...so true.
