He Touched Me
He kissed me and I thought of you
and wished you would too.
He looked at me and I saw your eyes
and now my heart cries.
.
He held me the way you don't
and I wondered why you won't.
He said nice things
but my heart wouldn’t sing.
And when he laughed I heard my own laugh follow,
yet my mirth was cold and hollow.
And when he touched me I wished it was you
making me want to touch you too.
All this time wasted with another,
not worth the bother,
not worth the pain,
I'd rather be with you again.
