Heartbroken
Be mine, my love for eternity,
I perfectly thought with certainty.
I was only thirteen and in dreams
or so it seemed, my mind sunny gleams.
He would saunter the school halls with friends;
I would watch past weakness sense extends.
I couldn't wane his blue eyes dreams of love,
my promise amid bright stars above.
I at last got his eyes attention,
but to late a look or a mention.
Parents decided to move across,
the country, my heartbroken and loss.
I saw him once again years later,
a wife and children he did cater
He was too busy, he didn't see me,
so ashamed I hid behind a tree.
Seeing him once more, laughter and tears
brought lost memories of those last years.
