His Presence

The light falls soft on the edge of my heart, sometimes
As His presence is revealed…

In a smile, a touch, a sense of love’s gentle flush
In a hope, a sigh, a feeling that only He could inspire
In a dream, a wish, a prayer that agrees with His word
In a still, small voice – so sure He’s my only choice!

The wind blows gently, embracing my soul, sometimes
As His presence is exposed…

By a song softly playing, a melody so alive and whole
By a beautiful star, a silent moon, a tear or a grace
By a tree with all its leaves changed by autumn’s grief
By the laughter of the sun, the proof that love has won

The seas rhythmic waves, softly wiping away the doubts
As His presence is discovered…

In the excitement of a weed, growing free and wild
In the blessings found by hearts who know He’s so alive
In the truth of the bible’s words, the verses, poetry’s invite
In the love that comes from a life who believes in His sacrifice

The hills pour out their grace and faith, sometimes
As His presence comes to life…

Inside the soul who believes He is the One who came to die
Inside the one who believes in a love that is greater than you or I
Inside the heart of those who see Him as the Creator and Guide
Inside the child who calls Him Father because His love shines bright

The night reveals, the heart who’s healed, sometimes
As the Presence of God soothes…

Everyone who has known the darkness of the soul
Everyone who has grown from the love that He’s shone
Everyone who has told someone about this kind of warmth
Everyone who is bold enough to give another the opportunity….

To meet with a Savior who changed the world,
A King who is the King of Kings,
A Joy that brings hope to the hopeless,
A Love that causes everlasting peace –
In a world who needs Him more than we can explain,
A world whose reason is this Jesus who came to say –
I love you more with each passing day!
