Hope
Hope is like a ray of light
Peeking in on me
It doesn’t always shine so bright
But it’s all that I can see
Some people say I’m not being smart
But it’s not to them I pray
I have to do what’s in my heart
Each and every day
I talk to God night and day
And plead with him for relief
I try to hear what he has to say
And to hang on to my belief
I know that God will give me
What is truly in my heart
Because the love that comes from him
Nothing earthly can keep us apart
