Hopelessly Addicted
When you meet that someone, you know in an instant
It's the one you've been waiting for
Not a bit of hesitation, you can call it intuition
You've been waiting a lifetime or more
They're saying all the things you've been craving to hear
Since the day you discovered love
Those tender sweet love words that turn you to mush
And give your old ticker a shove
No second guessing, it pokes you in the eye
Suddenly you can't function anymore
All you can think of are those tender sweet moments
With this angel you've been waiting for
At first you ask yourself, “is this the real thing”
Or is it just wishful thinking at play
Then this vision says something that turns you to putty
Any doubts you might have had go away
An age old question, “how d'you know if it's real”
Well there's very subtle signs to look for
If you can't remember the last names of your parents
Then you're hopelessly addicted for sure
