How Do We Love Thee
We love thee for the gifts of words you left us,
And the tenderness and passion in your voice.
We love thee for the depth and breadth,
Of your talents shared with the world you left.
With each reading of your many poetic lines,
We feel the emotion of your charm.
The fleeting moments of your life,
Through illness and injury, you endured.
Gives us strength to move forward,
Rereading the stream of beauty you wrote,
Where you purged your emotions of love and life.
For this we thank you dearly.
We proudly honor your talent,
And your inner strength that explodes in your work.
Enveloping our imagination and soul,
With such descriptive beauty.
Had you ever thought that 200 years later,
You would continue to be loved,
For your art of life and volumes of love,
Bestowed on the world you adored so much.
