Love Poem: Hug Me

Hug Me

A plea for the Gods
to send me someone
who will hug me,
just one lay low and
stay with me,
not to talk,
not to listen,
just to hold
and be with me.
watch the stars at night,
playing hide and seek with the moon,
and to hold
as we make love in the pool.
That's all I want,
a romantic beauty,
one who is damaged
and heart pale,
so I can be the doctor, the surgeon,
to help sow her back together.
I lived a long time, not knowing the difference
between love and love
and hate and hate
and question after question, "Do you like me?"
and "do you like me?" ramble on and on,
like loose change in a penny pocket.
I don't want a zombie,
and I don't want a Barbie,
I don't want stupidity
and I don't want brains,
I want someone to hold,
not to take advantage of or to take advantage of,
but some girl, some girl, some woman,
to hold
to laugh
to hold
to laugh and to hold with
and to smile
and to smile again
and to smile again and again,
how I feel,
or how she feels is not important,
not important at all...
to see her smile and want to hold me,
is good enough for me,
no more, no less, that is good for me, good for me.

A plea to the Gods,
to not miss the tolling of an iron bell,
to come home and to love
by a warm fire,
to hold and to hug
all I want is a woman to love me,
to hug me,
to hug me,
is that so much to ask for?
That's all I want.

No more bullshit about love will come in time,
be patience,
no more of those clichés,
just give me the woman to hug me, hug me already...
