I Knew a Woman

She moves in circles and those circles move
Roethke, such a rake
To make lofty such tales of bed(lam) and sin
And cheek(y) to cheek sang the
Greeks
But then there is beauty in the sway and curve of
Woman
Woman who woos and sighs and breathes in the shallow
Wanton way of a born again porn star, twinkle, twinkle little
Star
And still you wonder where you are
You are what you eat
You are at Burger King
But then you are an International (Porn) Super
Star (you to the power of twenty-four)
And still you wonder where you are
You are on the dirty-eight
You are on the corner of Van Ness and Eddy
You are a
Star
I wish I may I wish I might
Know why ice cream is better than conversation
Why being bored means you are
Boring
Boring
Boring me to death
Here in Dante’s Inferno, except it is cold
Here in Purgatory, except I am still
Sin
Roethke, such a rake
To make lofty such tales of bed(lam) and
Sin
And cheek(y) to cheek sang the
Greeks
But then there is beauty in the sway and curve of
Woman
She moved in circles and those circles moved
