I love you

“A loving heart is the truest wisdom.” — Charles Dickens You are the twinkle in a star, Whispering grace, near and far. You are the music in a song, Lifting my heart, ensuring I belong. You are the shadow from a prayer, Pouring out your light, so gentle and rare. You are the colors of the rainbow, Who fills my soul with a lovely glow. You are the breath of a windy night, Reminding my spirit of wonder so bright. You are the trembling of a morning sky, Grieving the season who is saying goodbye. You are the feeling that aches in my chest, Promising me that my soul has been blessed. You are the wonder of a love that will last, Because you assure me that you’re steadfast. You are the hope that tells me to believe, There is a God who would never deceive. You are the stillness after the snow falls, Planning the time for play with snowballs. You are the joy that leaves my heart grateful, With your kindness, you wipe away all the hateful. You are the beauty that tells me to admire, All the amazing splendor that will never expire. You are the answer to someone’s silent desire, Your love and kindness takes me higher and higher. You are the reason that I believe in God’s grace – I can see His love shining on your face. I will always love you, my friend and my confidant. This faith and hope you inspire is all I want. Because I know you – I am sure of the great Master. He is alive and His love keeps me from disaster. As you read this poem and know how I feel, If you have a doubt, I hope you’ll take time to kneel, Asking the One who is love, to take the wheel, Because He is surely the only One who can make love real!
