I Need No Other Heaven
A pyramid of stones and a beam of steel
Can't stand in my way,
I will find a route.
Guns, rigid laws and distance,
Can't interrupt my search for you,
I will press harder.
I've been drilled on how to combat forces,
Fighting me without knowing how to win,
I will rather die than give up.
I feel pains and have been betrayed,
My heart bleeds in anguish sometimes,
But I'm still persevering.
I've tasted fear and my share of cruelty,
Cried like a disfellowshipped laity,
I still need you.
My wish is to hold you tight every night and day,
Because I want you to stay,
The world is too cold,
We can still be warm and as well grow old.
Let me build my world around you till the end of time,
It's not a crime,
The past is gone,
The future is a dream,
All I got is now and
With you by my side, I need no other heaven.
