I Remember That Day

I did not know it would be our last visit! I did not know it would be that goodbye!
I remember that day I remember that day
That day he came to claim
To claim what was his by name
He wanted you to share the same

He asks me to let you go
I told him no! (That I still loved you)
But I would not stand in the way
If you left with him today

Chorus

I should have said something to make you stay
I should have said something to make him go away I should have never let you go
I should have let you know (That I still loved you)
I remember that day
I remember that day, he came

I asked him if he loved you
As much as I loved you

He said that he loved you
he would never ever hurt you
I believed his words were true
As my emotions grew Realizing that truth
He came to claim you too

Chorus

I should have said something to make you stay I should have said something to make him go away
I should have never let you go I should have let you know (That I still loved you)
I remember that day I remember that day, he came

I stood silent as you got in his car
were once close, now seem so far
As I watch your silhouette drive away
I called out your name (Come back to me, please stay)
Hoping you heard my words
Wanting you to glance back and stay
Again, louder I call out your name (I love you) Your silhouette never looks back my way
My life would never be the same As I watched that car drive away I called out your name I remember that day I remember that day I called out your name (Come back to me)

Chorus

I should have said something to make you stay I should have said something to make him go away I should have never let you go I should have let you know (That I still loved you) I remember that day I remember that day, he came
I am to blame, for losing you that day. What was yours’ too! I should have claimed And told you to remain, that I loved you! I remember that day I remember that day! I remember that day! He came I remember that day! I remember that day.
