I Saw You In The Heart Of Storm
The seamless sky called life shined in cloudless serenity,
in the rhapsody of the zephyr floated a butterfly free.
On its wings I painted in cosmic colors the motif of my identity,
as the spectral flowers of the velvet valley bloomed for me.
The dawning horizon splashed the hued sequins of ecstasy,
to blossom the budding dreams, I was on my course to fly.
Virtual euphoria took me to the realm of fathomless fantasy,
I didn’t see clouds gather at the dark edge of the somber sky.
Splintered in the flickering ambience of tarnished twilight,
in the vortex of turmoil I saw the debris of my adoring sky
disappear with my dreams in the storm of the sulky night.
I was sucked distraught in the virulent void of its eye.
The flushing vale turned into plagued pallid wreckage,
destemmed flowers didn’t see the new sun rise in the sky.
Torrents of tears drowned the pleasant past in the storm’s rage,
washed away colors from the broken wings of the butterfly.
The shadow of the past frozen within, I felt thaw,
in the sea of melancholy, the present moments sank.
In your esoteric essence the glint of enduring hope I saw,
as the dreams of desire flashed in my eyes’ canvas blank.
The spring of longing came back after the storm crossed,
drifted on the wings of the transformed time of glee.
You flittered in my sky like the beguiled butterfly I lost,
its fluttering fervent cadence created a silent symphony for me.
