Ice Melting
Slowly, slowly, the rain creeps in,
Silently, not to disturb,
Refreshing, cool breeze blowing in,
Silence not a word.
Washes away all dust and grime,
Takes us to another time,
A time of joy and uncared thought,
When we could laugh, never fought.
Now dissolved as ice in spring,
Melting away all our dreams,
How can you just wash it away,
Our love once, so true to stay.
What we had so beautiful,
So sublime and enchanting,
Hearts melted so cheerful,
Ever so inviting.
Now this day in time
Gloomy to say the least,
Love being torn apart,
Left with remorseful memories.
