If
If I could enfold all our yesterdays,
and seal them in a casket made of gold.
If I could save your warmth and beauty,
so one day in my future, I could hold.
If I could pluck out from the air,
all the lovely words we both share.
If I could only capture what we said,
while we were entwined upon our bed.
If I was left here on my own,
such dreadful fear of being alone.
If I could leave it until tomorrow,
Then I could hide from all the sorrow.
If I could make it all so numb,
Then maybe tomorrow would never come.
If.....
