If Love
I do not wish to know what love is
I do not wish to know its worth
I do not want to live within worthy bliss
I do not want to know what is love
When its so much to be as little
When its answers with never the question
When its emotional life we battle
When its love to forever be a first lesson
As an excuse, as written, as truth, as lies
As we all triumph and suffer likewise
As much as we give we learn to deny
For unlike love… we are never made to fly
And in the span of perhaps my lifetime
I have seen the changes perhaps as measurable
When to unlove for when love to find
How did love become financially bearable?
If I do not wish to know what love is
I do not wish to know if at all
A sacrifice for perhaps an exchange to believe
How did love befall?
