I'll Let Her Go

There’s no choice, there’s no doubt.
I’ve no voice, I’m all screamed out.
She’s shown me what love’s about.
I’ll let her go...

I’ve said my prayer to God above.
Said it’s not fair! Where’s the love?
But now the push has come to shove.
I’ll let her go...

Without her the nights are long
     And every day’s the same.
But holding on when love is gone
     Will only lead to pain...

There’s a song that I once heard
Of love gone wrong. I thought, how absurd.
But after all that’s now occurred
I’ll let her go...

For I have learned when I have loved.
And I’ve been burned. That’s enough.
It’s time to show I can be tough.
I’ll let her go.

Well, easy come and easy go.
I’m sure what’s done will help me grow.
And even though I’ll miss her so
I’ll let her go...
I’ll let her go...
