Imagine A Heart

Imagine a heart who can see Through the shadows, across the seas Of yesterday’s doubts and fears, All those reasons for swellings of tears Imagine a heart who can hope Despite all the worries, pains and griefs Those moments when light failed To ignite the music that kindles a prayer Imagine a heart who can live Through so many heartbreaks and agonies Knowing that the worst they have felt Will eventually lead them to shadows of doubt Imagine a heart who can heal Even when anguish won’t go away, Even when darkness has grown for so long, Even when loneliness is a part of it all Imagine a heart who still believes Despite all the reasons for failing to see The love that bleeds through the life When faith can let go of all the worst strife Imagine a heart who stays certain Love is forever burning with such assurance Reaching beyond the trials and the troubles, Promising the heart that love can overcome Imagine a heart who hears God’s voice In the music, the wind, the seas and the seasons, Listens to the spirit who is the heart’s best friend And feels the wonder and joy of His consoling Imagine a heart who is weak and meek Yet finds the strength, the solace, the peace Because, with God, there is a promise of eternity With God, all things are more than possible With God, faith, hope and love are truly probable!
