Immortals
There are men who may never walk on water
Who will never trade our happiness for butter
Who do such mere things full of kindness
That reminds us of the Son in his vast goodness
There are men who may never raise our dead
Who into our wilderness may never be lead
Who eagerly and earnestly love with their hearts
That reminds us of the Son who laid love’s path
There are men who may never rebuke our storms
Who may never be transfigured into His glorious form
Who are eagerly ready to lend a helping hand
That reminds us of the Son who we don’t understand
There are men who may never have an exalted name
Who may never be rich, glamorous or acquire fame
Who are beacons of light in our times of darkness
That reminds us of the Son shinning in righteousness
There are men who may never die upon our cross
Who for our sake live a life full of great loss
Who are our secret heroes saving our poor soul
From lives bitter batter and devils ultimate goal
To these unknown, unheard, unseen men untold
Who live to see our smile light up eyes that unfold
Who live a life without a lie
Your names shall never die
