In Search of Dreams
Late at night
I cast nets over my memories
Pulling in old dreams
To help pass away my sleeplessness
Occasionally
I watch a searching beacon
From the old northern lighthouse
Pick and probe
Through the waves of a blackened sea
Waiting for that returning ship
Laden with riches
Bound for market
With tales of giants and foreign lands
At times
I have become that lighthouse
Waiting and searching for you
To come home
That I might sleep
So I might dream
